Navigating through the traffic around el Nour mosque in Abbassiya area.

Calm returns to Abbassiya area, yet there is still a nervous edge when the traffic grinds to a halt. No one knows what to expect anymore as we go about town.

This afternoon, we had to drive to Heliopolis. Passing by el Nour mosque, the traffic slows. This is the mosque where gunmen were hiding out during Friday’s clashes that took in front of the Ministry of Defence’s headquarters. MOD is just around the corner. The streets are now lined with military guards in this section.
