Tonight we celebrate Christmas here in Egypt. Coptic Christmas. For the first time, I have volunteered to cook some of the dishes that will be served at dinner tonight. I'm making a breaded stuffing, cranberry sauce, and scalloped potatoes. Recipes forthcoming this week.

The celebrations of Orthodox Christmas, which Egyptian Coptic Christians mark on Saturday, saw the attendance of high ranking Brotherhood officials and figures in al-Markasiya cathedral in al-Abasiya in Cairo.
